The NCD Action Network is a civil society movement, increasing resources and inspiring action to address the global non-communicable disease (“NCD”) epidemic.


Fragility, pluripathology/polipathology and/or complex chronic diseases

Goals Prevention:
Funding for detection programs , Creates healthy environments , Promotes health and wellbeing in schools and early years , Promotes adecuate understanding levels on the community about the importance of prevention , Focuses on social inequalities
Goals Detection:
Shows new evidence on the importance of early detection, including guidelines of effective practices , Advances public education on the importance of early detection
Goals Treatment:
It facilitates the management by processes , Emphasizes the care of pluri-pathological and fragile patients , Promotes electronic health information systems to improve the quality of care

NCD Action was launched in April 2011 in anticipation of the United Nations High-Level Summit on NCDs that took place on September 19-20, 2011.

Recognizing the importance of mobilizing civic coalitions, leadership and heads of state, the Young Professionals Chronic Disease Network (YP-CDN) launched NCD Action as a social movement to inspire civic action around the world. The YP-CDN is kindly hosted by the Global Health Delivery Project, an organization dedicated to improving health through global collaboration.
