Europe is in the midst of an unforeseen demographic change, with the number of persons over the age of 60 reaching 2 billion by 2050. Therefore, the ageing population and its implications for society is a field of research of ever increasing interest – especially within the area of healthy aging. What is the secret to a long life? And what can we do to ensure the health and well-being of our elderly?

This event offers a unique opportunity for policy makers, researchers, industry representatives and others to learn from the latest EU-funded research within ageing as well as to network and exchange ideas with key stakeholders in the area. The program will include presentations within the areas of public health, innovation and common age-related diseases – all with the ambition to shed new light on the ageing populations’ challenges and possible solutions for a healthier and longer life.
